I met Marley and Jared during blue bonnet mini sessions before they even got engaged. They had such a blast together, and it was clear right away they were perfect for each other. Their favorite date night spot is a rooftop bar downtown, so when they asked to do their engagement session there, I was all in.

We started the session by walking through the city, chatting and having fun as we went. Then we took the elevator up to the rooftop bar for some stunning sunset photos. Marley sat right on the bar, making the moment relaxed and natural. They even enjoyed some drinks during the shoot, which made it feel like a real date night.

After some time upstairs, they changed outfits and we headed down to the hotel bar for a cozy, lively vibe. It turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the session — sometimes the best moments happen when you go with the flow. To finish up, we took some nighttime photos outside, capturing them on a crosswalk with the Texas Capitol glowing behind them. It was such a fun night filled with genuine moments.

I love sessions like this because we have enough time to really connect and become friends. That’s when the storytelling photos happen, you can’t rush them. It’s all about having fun and documenting the unique love that these two share.
