I first met Halie and Gabriel, for their fall engagement session at Mount Bonnell, while awaiting their wedding upcoming the following spring. They had been together for YEARS but had never been in front of a professional camera before, which is what brought us to their engagement session. I recommended it as a “warm up” before their wedding. I knew it was my job to get them as comfortable as possible, so we can be ready for their wedding day. They quickly warmed up in front of the camera and I was blown away by how perfect they were for eachother – I knew their wedding day would be incredible!
They held their micro-wedding in the spring at Chapel Duclea, it was a beautiful sunny day in the hill country.
The day started with Halie, her family, and friends putting the final touches on her in the getting ready suite. The suite is beautifully intimate, and creates a lot of room for beautiful moments. Gabriel was standing at the head of the chapel, awaiting for Halie to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was intimate, emotional, and truly what people mean when they say they want an “intimate wedding/elopement”. After exchanging vows and saying I do, they happily rang their wedding bells, signifying to their guests that they were officially married.
Following the ceremony, we took “just married” photographs of them celebrating while soaking it all in. Afterwards, we were led to a champagne toast where close friends and family toasted to the marriage of Halie & Gabriel.
As we were wrapping up and saying our goodbyes, I gifted Halie & Gabriel a few surprise polaroids I had taken throughout the day. I truly am honored to be a part of capturing such an intimate moment, and delighted for them to embark on the journey of marriage together, while being surrounded by so much love.
